What We Built

Healthcare had too much work for people to do alone. We built AI and automation for the everyday operations that connected patients, teams and care.

The beginning of the product journey

Meet Mia

Mia was Omaiven’s initial AI assistant: an early expression of using AI and automation to take on administrative healthcare work. As it developed, Mia supported scheduling, COVID-related questions and transportation needs, helping patients connect with care.

Bring Your Own Tech Stack

We worked across the technology healthcare organizations already depended on, connecting existing systems rather than requiring every core system to be replaced.

From Mia to a Digital Workforce

As we built, deployed and learned, the idea grew beyond a single assistant. Capabilities expanded across administrative workflows into a Digital Workforce working alongside healthcare teams, giving people more time for judgment, relationships and care.

What We Built

The AI Platform for Healthcare Operations

AI-powered automation for the work between a patient and care. We built across the operating surface of healthcare, alongside the teams and systems already there.

  1. 01

    Acquisition & Access

From the first request to a scheduled visit, we worked on the steps that connected people with care. AI-powered automation supported access teams across forms, calls, schedules and referrals.

    • Digital forms
    • Contact-center offload
    • Real-time scheduling
    • Referral support
  2. 02

    Front Desk

We worked alongside the front desk on patient communication, check-in and administrative workflows, giving teams more room for the person in front of them.

    • Patient communication
    • Check-in
    • Administrative workflows
  3. 03

    Clinical

Documents and information needed to move with the patient. Our work covered the administrative tasks around clinical care, including processing documents, screenings and care gaps.

    • Document processing
    • Screenings
    • Care gaps
    • Information handling
  4. 04

    Financial

We applied automation to eligibility, financial clearance and revenue workflows, including the checks and reconciliations that otherwise required manual work.

    • Eligibility
    • Financial clearance
    • Charge and revenue workflows
    • Reconciliation
  5. 05

    IT & Infrastructure

Healthcare teams already had technology they depended on. We worked across those systems through integrations, analytics, EHR optimization and access management.

    • Integrations
    • Analytics
    • EHR optimization
    • Access management
    • Connections across existing healthcare technology

Early COVID response

Capacity, within weeks.

During the early days of COVID, healthcare teams faced a rapidly changing operational crisis. Within weeks, Omaiven helped a community clinic support approximately 12,000 vaccinations and save more than 2,000 staff hours. An emerging technology met an urgent need for capacity.
